My Final Post

It saddens me to no end to write this last post.  My illness has not abated, no matter what the Doctor’s try.  I have been on so many different medicines that I have lost count.  Right now I am on 10, and none of them are working.  I am headed back to the Doctor’s today.  Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

We have put a bid on a small mobile home, 2 beds, and 2 baths.  The offer was accepted, and we closed on it yesterday.  We are selling the truck and RV.  Together, we are asking $35,000.  Separately, we are asking $22,000 for the truck, and $16,000 for the RV.  I have had quite a few nibbles, and hope to sell them soon.

I know a lot of you are wondering about Rusty, and on that end there is very good news.  His cancer fell off about a week after the last time I posted,  and the Doctor tells us there is very little chance it will ever return.  He is his little wild self and still keeping us hoping.

I will certainly miss all of the people we have met along the way, and I know there will be a few of you that I will stay in touch with, but for right now I have to put my health first.

We loved the time we traveled and thank God we had the opportunity to do it.  I love you all, and please stay safe out there.  If you are ever in the Tell City, Indiana area, give us a call.

It saddens my heart tremendously that u have not gotten any relief. I truly know what it is to experience pain every day...it takes away all the joy and refuses to allow us to enjoy simple everyday things. U r and will remain in my prayers as will the doctors...I'm hoping they will find the source of ur problems. Hope u sell the truck and fiver soon, that will be one less worry for u. I can't find the words to say how much u will be missed on here...y'all were the first ones I was able to actually meet in person and ur blogs have always been so uplifting. Enjoy that new home. Glad to hear the news about Rusty, he's a young fella and will keep u both on ur toes for a long time. One day at a time my dear friend, that is all any of us have anyway. Do like I do and try to find a minimum of one good thing in each day, it will put a smile on ur face and a frown on the Devil's. lol Prayers, good thoughts and big hugs coming ur way. Love u all!

I am terribly sorry to see you leaving the blogging world, and wish you a happy life in the mobile home. It is difficult to let the traveling life go, but not as difficult as I would have thought. Please post occasionally so we know how you, Donnie, and Rusty are doing. We will all miss your upbeat personality.

I am so far behind reading blogs and was sorry to read that you aren't feeling better. It must be so frustrating. Glad Rusty at least has had a good recovery. Hope you are able to sell the truck and RV although it must have been such a difficult decision. Take care.

Hi Pidge, just going through some blogs and made me wonder how you have been doing. Blogland misses you.

Your story is amazingly close to ours.
We too had been fulltiming for the past 7 years and had to give it up this past summer for health reasons. Thankfully we had the vacant family farmhouse to move into, but have had to pour all of our savings into remodeling. This past winter was our first winter here (saw snow for the first time in 7 years) ;-)
Good luck and keep up your blog, you have lots of friends out here.

Pidge, I apologize profusely that I missed this post. It's been nearly half a year, and I hope that your new stationary lifestyle is suiting your health, and that you have a grasp on what you need to do for yourself. I respect doctors' intentions, but I feel an enormous chunk is left out of their education.

Be well!
